Although everyone should conserve water, currently only portions of Los Angeles, Ventura and San Bernardino County are facing mandated outdoor landscape irrigation reductions. Orange County is in a much better water position than some parts of California, due to better planning, water recycling, and more diverse water supplies No water provider in Orange County is currently requiring a reduction in landscape water use.

Maybe you’ve seen it in the media: that map with yellow, orange and red. The U.S. Drought Monitor is a map released every Thursday, showing those parts of the U.S. that are in drought. The map uses five classifications: abnormally dry (D0), moderate (D1), severe (D2), extreme (D3) and exceptional (D4).
